These vision tests can only be considered a screening test and its validity is not guaranteed. A variety of factors such as lighting, glare, pixel resolution and monitor quality may have an effect on the results of this test.

To test your vision stand about 20 feet from the chart
Test one eye at a time by holding something over the other eye
If some of the lines are gray and others are black or darker grey you may have an astigmatism
If all the lines are the same black color you probably do not have an astigmatism
 

The test below is performed the same way as the above test, 20 feet away and one eye at a time. Close one eye and then the other one, if you do not see all the lined squares, in the same black color, or if you do see one or more squares grey, or a different color black you than you may have an astigmatism . If they all appear the same you probably do not.
